Greetings QSAC members,
As announced on Friday, March 4th, 2022, a rules change proposal was sent to the Rules Ratification Committee (RRC).
Per the By-Laws, the RRC was permitted ten (10) to discuss and deliberate over the change proposal presented. With the ten days coming to completion on Monday, March 14th, 2022, we are pleased to announce the results of the rules change proposal.
The proposal has been voted in and approved. The proposal, as presented to the RRC, can be found as an attachment to this announcement. PLEASE NOTE: in the interest of complete transparency, there was typographical error in the proposal where numbers were transposed (proposal written as “4.5.1”, etc. and should have been “4.1.5”, etc.). This was communicated with the RRC members. It was stated this did not affect the context of the change, but that the document would use the corrected numbering nomenclature if the rules change was approved (which it was).
Here is the record of the votes from the RRC.
Ryan Canada: YES
Alex Livingston: YES
Doug Murphy: YES
Mark Hogue: YES
Mike Sadler: YES
Michael Dill: YES
Mike Lubanovich: YES
Brad Boling: YES
Mike Clark: YES
Tom Standridge: YES
Bob Leydecker: ABSTENTION
Richard Coffey: ABSTENTION
With a tally of ten (10) votes of “YES”, the rule change passed by virtue of simple majority.
We extend a genuine thank you to the members of the RRC for their participation.
As this impacts the 2022 QSAC Dirt Track Rules Addendum, we are working to get this document updated and released as soon as possible. We are striving to have the addendum released by Sunday, March 20th, 2022, but ask for your flexibility and understanding if we are running late with the release.
Thank you,
Todd Bishop
