Well, my friends, the time has come and gone rather quickly. As I sit here this evening, it is almost hard to believe my two-year term comes to a close this evening.
To say that I am fortunate to have been able to guide this ship for two years is not adequate; it has been beyond fortunate and it has been an honor to serve the membership. Thank you for putting your trust in me these past two years. While I will no longer be serving as Co-Chair, at the request of Scott Harper, I will be continuing on as webmaster for the www.qsac.org website.
I am thankful to my two counterparts during my tenure; Joe DePinto and Scott Harper. You have both been more than a co-chair counterpart; you both have a love and passion for quarter scale racing. Thank you, to both of you.
The number of friendships and relationships that have developed over these past two years have been tremendous. Thank you for allowing doors to be opened and relationships to grow.
I would be remiss to not extend a thank you to my wife and family; without their support through these two years, I cannot imagine how I would have seen any level of success. Thank you, Katie, Ruedi, Ellie and even Finley.
I genuinely hope that the membership feels the organization is in as good, if not better place, as I depart my co-chair position. I can say with great confidence you are on the verge of receiving a good man in Dave Dygon to fill my slot as Co-Chair.Dave brings a great deal to the table; a passion for quarter scale racing, along with a great amount of common sense and reason. He will serve the QSAC membership very well. Please join me in offering Dave, as well as Scott, all of the support and devotion possible.
I look forward to getting back to racing in 2019 (or 2020, or 2021, or 2022…).?
Thank you to all of the QSAC membership for helping make this labor of love worthwhile.
Respectfully,
Joe Brooks
QSAC Co-Chair (for at least a few more minutes)
