Further Clarification for the Super Truck Class – QSAC Updates – QSAC | Quarter Scale Auto Club

Greetings QSAC members,

As we are sure you are aware, there has been quite a bit of discussion on the revitalization of the Super Truck class.  When the bodies came out, some astute members measured them and found the front end to be wider than what is allowed per the QSAC Rules Package.  Older bodies were measured; the mold was measured, and memories were tested.  No answers were found.  Then, just this past week, two members, Jerry Evans and Scott Meadows, looked into the past QSAC Rules Packages and found that prior to the 2012 season the max truck width was 21.50″.   For some unknown reason, the measurements were changed in the 2012 QSAC Rules Package.  We have concluded this change was a typographical error.

The Super Truck specifications are as follows: Overall Width: 21.50″.   This will be updated and corrected in a revision to the 2020 QSAC Rules Package in the coming weeks.

We want to thank Jerry and Scott for finding this and bringing it to our attention. We apologize for any confusion and hope to see you all at the races.

Keep on Truckin!
