2020 QSAC Co-Chair Election Status – QSAC Updates – QSAC | Quarter Scale Auto Club

 Greetings QSAC members

As we are into June, and the Co-Chair elections are drawing near, we wanted to provide an update regarding where things stand.

1. As of this evening, Thursday, June 11th, we are no longer accepting other candidates to consider for the 2020 QSAC Co-Chair elections.  Why, you may ask?  Given the number of possible candidates we have, we want to be certain the nomination committee has sufficient amount of time to evaluate the candidates.  In fairness, this process had actually started when a late entry made his intentions known (more on the candidates later).

2. At this time, we have three potential candidates that will be presented to the nomination committee.  Those individuals are as follows (alphabetical, by first name):
David Bradford
Doug Murphy
Todd Bishop

There were two other individuals that had expressed their desire to run for Co-Chair; Billy Bradford and Robert Belonga.  Billy realized the conflict of interest with his status of being a manufacturer, and gracefully withdrew his name from consideration.  Robert had a change of heart and chose to have his name removed from consideration.

3.In accordance with the bylaws, as documented on page 3, letter b. under Elections, the nomination committee shall interview the possible candidates.  After the interview process, the committee will then present a list of candidates to the membership that will be on the ballot.  Please note, this could be as little as one name, and a maximum of three names, as outlined in the bylaws.

This is the second year in a row where we have received interest from more than two possible candidates.  It is exciting to see there is interest in being a Co-Chair.  However, with that being said, we have numerous openings and opportunities for others that are looking to serve the organization and its members.  Please check out http://www.qsac.org/membership/committee-members for vacancies in positions.

We hope all are well and staying safe.

Thank you,
Dave Dygon
