Greetings QSAC members,
We would like to share some continued exciting news with the membership. We are pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Johnson to the role of Special Projects Chair.
Quite often when we create announcements of this nature, it is usually someone that has been involved with quarter scale and QSAC at some lever. However, this is a different case. Some of you may be asking “who is Chris Johnson?” Well, allow us to share a bit about Chris with you, the membership. Chris has been involved with 1/10 scale oval racing for a little over eight years. Chris was introduced to 1/5th and 1/4th scale racing through Five Star Hobbies. In Chris’s own words “(I) ran 1/5th scale modified at Outlay Raceway Park in Waverly, NE and I was hooked. Joined QSAC in July and loved every minute of it.(I) acquired a ¼ scale car shortly after that, and I ran at the 2020 Dirt Nationals and will be running it in the truck class this coming season at Outlaw.”
Chris has been the race director as well as the event planner and coordinator at his local dirt oval track for the past four years. Through this experience and background, Chris is looking forward to utilizing that knowledge and skill to help spread and share the word about quarter scale racing and QSAC with others. Chris is a family man; he and his wife have four children and I’m certain they will be following dad down the dirt racing path.
We are excited to welcome Chris to the leadership team and look forward to his involvement with quarter scale and QSAC. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Chris as he takes up his position Special Projects Chair for QSAC.
Thank you,
Denny Andrews Jr.
