Greetings QSAC members
We hope that all of our membership are doing well and enjoying the transition in spring.
We have a few topics to share with the membership.
– There is still time to consider running for QSAC Co-Chair. If you are interested, reach out to either one of us. We would love to discuss your possible candidacy and be able to provide the membership with choices on the ballot.
– After much time, consideration, and diligent work behind the scenes, we are pleased to announce the release of a rules package addendum. The formal name of this new document is the QSAC Dirt Track Racing Addendum. This addendum is geared specifically toward our dirt track racing segment of QSAC, and highlights the differences from the standard QSAC Rules Package. This addendum will be available on the QSAC website at https://www.qsac.org/pages
– Along with this addition of the QSAC Dirt Track Rules Addendum; we needed to make some minor changes to the standard QSAC Rules Package. These changes are clerical in nature; we removed references to dirt track racing as these changes are now highlighted in the new addendum.
– While we were making the changes to accommodate the dirt track racing addendum, we took the time to address some clerical and formatting issues that were not caught on the first release earlier this year. There is no change to context of the rules package. Changes for the rules package can be viewed at the back of the QSAC Rules Package.
– We now have a history and background for the Dirt National Championship to go along with some of the details and history of the National Championship that was started in 2017. Additionally, we now have links to both the National Championship and Dirt National Championship itinerary and format documents available for viewing and download on the website. These documents can be found here: https://www.qsac.org/national-championship
– We would like to give a well-deserved “thank you” to Mike Willmann and Todd Holloway for all the time, effort, and information they provided in the creation of the QSAC Dirt Track Rules Addendum as well as the formal creation and documentation of the QSAC Dirt National Championship Itinerary and Format document. Without their dedication to supporting and advocating quarter scale dirt racing, we would not see the growth like we have the past couple of year. Thank you, gentlemen; your help and dedication is greatly appreciated and we hope the creation of these documents and information opens the door for more growth in the future.
As we write this message, we are just 16 days from the start of the 2021 FIVE STAR HOBBIES QSAC National Championship at DFW Speedway. The DFW crew has been preparing and is excited for this event. We have a record number of pre-registrations; this is going to be a great event and we look forward to seeing everyone!
Well wishes and safe travels to those heading to DFW for the National Championship. To those that are unable to attend, QSAC and DFW Speedway will be doing our best to provide updates throughout the week. Please check out the QSAC National Championship page on Facebook for updates during the event. Check out https://www.facebook.com/groups/1732815933420076
