Going Forward – QSAC’s Online Posting Practices – QSAC Updates – QSAC | Quarter Scale Auto Club

Greetings QSAC members,

Prior to the recently completed 2022 QSAC Paved National Championship, there were a few discussions amongst the QSAC leadership group regarding posting online.  This conversation included the organizations posting on both the QSAC.org website as well as social media via Facebook.

Previously, QSAC had worked in conjunction with the admins of ¼ Scale Bench Talk and came to an agreement at the request of ¼ Scale Bench Talk admins to only post announcements while leaving comments turned off, it was becoming apparent that QSAC was contributing to adding clutter to the ¼ Scale Bench Talk page while taking away from the intentions of the page.

In the interest of helping to bring ¼ Scale Bench Talk back to its origins; a place for healthy interaction and sharing of quarter scale related dialogue, the decision was made to no longer post or share QSAC-related announcements or news on the ¼ Scale Bench Talk Facebook.  The implementation of this choice actually took effect prior to the start of the 2022 QSAC Paved National Championship at MPR.

QSAC arrived at the decision based on a couple of points; the first being that we have a dedicated website (QSAC Website) where announcements originate; the second being that we have a dedicated Facebook page for the organization (QSAC on Facebook).  Between these two avenues of communication, along with organizational emails being sent when needed, QSAC leadership believes this is more than ample distribution of news and information.  Additionally, there is also a Facebook page dedicated exclusively to the QSAC Paved National Championship (QSAC Paved National Championship on Facebook)), but this page is intended to focus solely on the event, on a year-to-year basis (example: the site will be updated to reflect the 2023 event in the near future, so it is a long-standing page).

Thank you to the ¼ Scale Bench Talk admins for open dialogue that has taken place, as well as your support throughout the years.

Thank you,
Todd Bishop
