“Good afternoon, QSAC Members. I am writing to share some news with the organization, and to ask for your help and support. Yesterday, appointed Co-Chair, David Bradford, resigned from his position, effective immediately. I want to begin by thanking David for his service to the organization and extend my best wishes for his future endeavors. David resigned for personal reasons, and wishes all of the quarter scale racing community the best going forward. In addition to David’s resignation, we (QSAC) are left in a position of unchartered territory. David was also the sole candidate on the Co-Chair ballot for 2024. Section 3.3. of the QSAC Bylaws reads as follows: “3.3. NON-FULFILLMENT OF TERM 3.3.1. If, for any reason, a Co-Chairman cannot complete his/her term, the remaining Co-Chairman may select a replacement to fulfill the remainder of that term with the consensus approval of the six major Committee Chairmen. Non-Fulfillment shall also include resignation and impeachment.” The QSAC Bylaws are very clear in their direction, and the manner in which a replacement Co-Chair is addressed. It is my desire to continue to honor and uphold the QSAC Bylaws to the best of my ability. However, I would like to embrace the membership and ask if there are any individuals that are interested in serving the organization as Co-Chair. I fully realize this may seem odd at this point and time, but I would like to consider other possibly candidates for this appointment that may not be on my radar at this point and time. Additionally, while David and I had plans in place for some items to be sent to the RRC for consideration, these proposals will be put on the backburner until a replacement Co-Chair has been appointed. I appreciate all of the membership and would consider it an honor if you would take the time to consider an appointment to the position of QSAC Co-Chair.
Thank you,
Brian Howard
QSAC Co-Chair”
