Good evening, QSAC members.
I am pleased to announce that Doug Murphy has been appointed to the position of QSAC Co-Chair following the approval of the committee chairpersons per the QSAC Bylaws. Doug’s term will be considered to be retro-active to November 1st, fulfilling the term for recently elected QSAC Co-Chair, David Bradford.
For those that may not be aware, David Bradford had run for QSAC Co-Chair, uncontested, and had won the 2024 election. As an organization, we were delayed in announcing David’s election win. Since David was running uncontested, we were not that concerned about the delayed announcement. However, on October 11th, David resigned from his position as QSAC Co-Chair (a position he was previously appointed to, and that term would have ended on October 31st, 2024). David’s resignation created a further void in that it created a vacancy for the term he had just been elected to fulfill through October 31st, 2026. Announcement of David’s resignation was posted on the QSAC website on October 14th, 2024 along with a request for interested individuals to reach out to me for consideration for fulfilling his newly elected term.
Back to our newly appointed co-chair; for those of you that do not know or may have never met Doug Murphy in person, Doug has been involved with quarter scale racing for many years and is a weekly racer at MPR (Machesney Park Raceway). Doug has been serving as the Central District Director for the past couple of years. Doug has a passion for quarter scale racing and has been a long standing supporter of QSAC. Doug’s involvement will help QSAC continue to improve both the organization and quarter scale racing in general.
Please join me in welcoming Doug Murphy as your next QSAC Co-Chair.
Respectfully,
Brian Howard
QSAC Co-Chair
