Greetings QSAC members,
As announced on Friday, February 16th, 2024, seven (7) rules change proposals were sent to the Rules Ratification Committee (RRC).
Per the By-Laws, the RRC was permitted ten (10) to discuss and deliberate over the change proposal presented. With the ten days coming to completion on Monday, February 26th, 2024, we are pleased to announce the results of the rules change proposal.
Proposals #1 and #2 have been voted in and approved.
Proposal #3 received a split vote and is therefore not approved.
Proposals #4 through #7 were voted on in a collective manner, and these proposals were not voted in and not approved.
The proposals, as presented to the RRC, can be found as an attachment to this announcement. Additionally, a chart with how each RRC member voted is in the second attachment.
Given the dialogue that took place during the Rules Change Process, we believe there is merit to go back to the table with altered and updated versions of Proposals #4 through #7 in the very near future. Given this intention, there will be a further delay in the release of the 2024 QSAC Rules Package and 2024 QSAC Dirt Track Rules Addendum.
In closing, if you are a supporter of the addition of the new sprint car class, please reach out to the members of the RRC and voice your thoughts as they are representatives of the membership as well as the manufacturers.
