Changes and Appointments within the QSAC Leadership Team – QSAC Updates – QSAC | Quarter Scale Auto Club

 Greetings QSAC members,

Brrr…, you can start to feel the fall air changing and we’re almost into the month of October already!Where did 2022 go?

With fall there is change, and with the changing of the season, we have some change taking place within the organization.

In no particular order, we have three changes within the organizations leadership team.

Out West, there has been a change to the District Leadership structure.  Mike Lubanovich has agreed to an appointment to fill the District Director role for the Western District.  Previously Mike had served as Western District – Southern Region Director.  This move had Mike overseeing the entire Western District.  Please join us in extending a “thank you” to Mike for continuing to work with the QSAC leadership team and taking on a bigger role.

Mike’s appointment also creates a vacancy that needs to be filled for the Western District – Southern Region Director.  If you are in that area and are interested, please reach out to Mike; we are certain he would appreciate talking about the possibilities of someone filling that vacancy.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Charlie Agnew as the Long Range Planning Chair.  While Charlie is fairly new to quarter scale racing getting plugged in with the crew at Mountain Valley in Martinsville, VA., Charlie has an extensive background in other forms or R/C racing as well as full scale racing.  Charlie is very relational and has successfully promoted large events and has a strong skill set in communication and promotion.  Charlie shared with us that others in the quarter scale community encouraged him to get involved to help the organization grow and develop.  We welcome Charlie and look forward to his sharing of his energy that we’ve experienced with the rest of the membership.  Please welcome Charlie as your new Long Range Planning Chair.

Last, but certainly not least, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Howard as the new National Tech Director.  Brian has been involved with quarter scale for close to five years.Brian is involved with the IQSR club racing at Ingalls, IN.  This past year, Brian took over the ownership and direction of the IRA and it’s Tri-State Series.  Brian has a passion for quarter scale and looks forward to serving the organization and membership to its fullest.  In our discussions with Brian, we both believe he will be a great fit for filling the vacancy as the QSAC National Tech Director.  Please welcome Brian as your new National Tech Director.

Whew, that’s a good amount of change taking place over a very small window of time!  We are excited to have these vacancies filled and look forward to working with Mike, Charlie and Brian, as well as the rest of the leadership and committee members as we move closer to 2023.

Stay safe, and stay warm as fall kicks in.

Thank you,
Todd Bishop
