We have made a change to the QSAC Annual Membership Application electronic form.
Previously, the following text was on the QSAC Annual Membership Application through at least 2016:

Your signature above indicates you agree to follow all QSAC rules. Furthermore, you understand the insurance is “Spectator Insurance” and only licensed QSAC members are allowed in the “Hot Pit” area. Violation of this rule could result in suspension of our club insurance. Your insurance is valid only when racing or practicing at a QSAC sanctioned track, and only when all racers and mechanics have a valid current year license, including those paid on the day of the event. Member agrees to waive any and all claims against the track owner(s), sponsors, and local & national QSAC officials for injuries incurred while participating in practice & race events.
The QSAC Annual Membership Application electronic form has been updated with the addition of the following text:

Your electronic signature below indicates you agree to follow all QSAC rules per the QSAC Rules Package. (NOTE: The QSAC Annual Membership Application MUST be signed by the actual member applying for QSAC membership. If the individual applying for a QSAC membership is under the age of 18, the parent or legal guardian of the individual applying must sign the QSAC Annual Membership Application Agreement Acknowledgement.)
In addition to the text above, there will also be an addition of a “checkbox” and an “electronic signature box” on the membership form.
Why are we making this correction?
Up until 2016, the membership application form was also the last page of the QSAC Rules Package. In 2017, the form was removed from the Rules Package and was available as a separate document. In 2018 the website was completely updated and in the process there was also the creation of electronic forms for numerous items (Membership Application, Track Sanction Application, Rules / Suggestion From, and a National Championship Host / Bid Package as examples).
When the electronic form for the Membership Application was created in 2018, the portion listed above was inadvertently omitted. This change addition re-introduces the previously missing context, and also adds a verification checkbox and electronic signature box. The electronic signature can be completed with a mouse or a stylus
In light of these changes to the QSAC Annual Membership Application, members that have already signed-up for a 2022 QSAC Membership will receive an email with a link to an updated electronic form that will need to be completed and includes a provision for a members electronic signature. Those members that have signed-up and are not willing to agree to the amended terms will have the opportunity to have their 2022 QSAC Membership fee reimbursed 100%.
