Greetings QSAC members,
Here are the biographies for the three candidates on the 2020 QSAC Co-Chair Ballot. While each had posted to the 1/4 Scale Bench Talk Facebook page, we needed to post them on the website for all members to see and read. Please see their respective biographies below.

David Bradford:
“Hello QSAC community I would like to personally introduce myself. My name is David Bradford. Some of you know me and some may not. I would just like to let you all know Im running for Co Chair. I am from Northern Iowa and my home track is Veterans Park Speedway in Algona, Iowa. I have been racing 1/4 scale Sprint and Sportsman for 10 plus years and have also been racing 1/10 and 1/8 scale Radio Controlled cars for close to 20 years. I have been all around the country racing and have seen many tracks and clubs. The greatest thing is all the friends I’ve made in all forms of the RC community. My heart is with 1/4 scale racing and QSAC. After going to the first ever QSAC Nationals last year a bigger passion for QSAC grew in me. I believe I can help QSAC grow and become bigger and better then ever. There are several things I would like to address and I will go into more detail in coming months before election on some of my ideas to put forward. Thank you for your time and good luck to all running for Co Chair.
David Bradford QSAC member # 2016″
Douglas Murphy:
“Good Morning, I would like to officially announce I am running for Co-Chair. I have been a member of QSAC since 2005 when I got my very first 1/4 scale. Once I started racing I was hooked and became very passionate about it and racing in general. So much so that while I was in the hospital they used racing as part of my therapy and has since made it a part of the hospitals occupational therapy for other patients. In 2015 I became the Central district Northern area director then in 2018 I took over the Central District Region Director position when vacated. At that time I was also part of the RRC and volunteered to be a part of the competition committee. I would like the opportunity to continue and build upon what our past Co-Chairs have started. I understand it could be a thankless job which entails making tough decisions. I believe I have a good personality for this position and do not take it lightly.
Thanks for your consideration Doug Murphy”
Todd Bishop:
“Mr. Dave Dygon Mr. Denny Andrews, Jr
QSAC Organization
RE: Applying for nomination for QSAC Co-chair – Todd Bishop (QSAC #690)
Dear Dave and Denny, I would like to announce my interest in running for the position of QSAC Co-chair. Most people know me as the owner of Bishop Racing Products which was recently passed on to Tom and Tim Standridge in 2019. My first interest in quarter scale racing started when I saw the first WCM sprint car in 1985. After that I was hooked. Since my profession was a rubber mold maker, it was a natural fit for me to start manufacturing rubber tires for the quarter scale industry. The first tires that I made were two-inch wide Goodyear tires for the front of the sprint cars. As technology evolved and with continued testing for the last 30 plus years, I developed the tires that are currently used today. I have been the QSAC manufacturers’ rep and on the rules ratification committee off and on for several years. This has allowed me to have relationships with most all of the manufacturers and the governing body of QSAC. One of my visions as a Co-chair is to encourage manufacturers to bring their products to national events and to support their customers from the least experienced to the most experienced racers. I would like to create a very competitive atmosphere with an emphasis on having fun without any politics or biased opinions. I believe that all manufacturers should be treated equally and that the history and the integrity of all classes will be maintained. Also, a goal is to keep the cost of quarter scale racing as affordable as possible so that we can maintain the current members, gain new racers and grow our membership. Thank you for the opportunity to possibly serve quarter-scale racing as a QSAC Co-chair. I look forward to visiting with old friends and meeting new racers at our future national events.
Sincerely, Todd Bishop”
