QSAC Insurance Requirements Refresher – QSAC Updates – QSAC | Quarter Scale Auto Club

Greetings QSAC members and QSAC sanctioned track owners

It has been brought to the attention of the us, the Co-Chairs, that there is a need for clarification regarding QSAC memberships and the subsequent liability insurance that is granted to a member in good standing.

The liability that is provided is done so with conditions met by all parties involved in the running of a QSAC sanctioned event.  Specifically, the conditions are as follows below.

1. The host track needs to be QSAC sanctioned.*
2. All members signed-up and participating in the event need to be paid QSAC members.
3. The host track upholds the safety guidelines as outlined in the QSAC Rules Package, as well as the signed agreement that is completed upon registering as a QSAC sanctioned track.

*If this first point is not met, regardless of the number of members that are in attendance at an event, there is no coverage provided to members through QSAC’s insurance coverage.  This is not a negotiable point.  The only way the insurance provided by QSAC is able to be utilized is if all conditions are met at the same time.  This means the track is sanctioned with QSAC, all individuals competing on a given day are QSAC members, and the host track is following the QSAC Rules Package, and honoring their commitment in the track sanctioning agreement.

We greatly appreciate the support of our members continuing to purchase their QSAC membership each year.  We ask that you urge your track owners to sign up to be a QSAC sanctioned track to provide the liability coverage for you, the individual, should something unintended take place.  Sanctioning a track with QSAC only costs $50 per year.  This is a very low cost to the track owners to provide liability coverage for the members that are at the track competing.

If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to either Co-Chair.  We will do our best to answer your questions and concerns, or we will speak with our insurance representative to provide answers we may not know off the cuff.

Thank you,
