R.I.P., J.R. Parsley – QSAC Updates – QSAC | Quarter Scale Auto Club

It is with great sadness we share the unfortunate news of the passing of J.R. Parsley on February 12th, 2019.

J.R. has been involved with QSAC and quarter scale racing for close to ten years, primarily as a devoted WCM sprint car racer.  J.R. was a fierce competitor, but had one of the most loving and generous hearts of anyone in our quarter scale community.

J.R. is shown in the image with his wife, Tina, after his final victory on October 6th, 2018 at Ingalls Motor Speedway.  Thank you to Scott Rance for sharing the image.

Please keep J.R.’s widow, Tina, in your thoughts and prayers.

Rest in Peace, J.R.  You are and will continue to be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with you.

“Tina’s Love Bug”

Always one to show his devotion and love for his wife, J.R.’s wing was adorned with “Tina’s Love Bug”.  Additionally, J.R.’s livery always had an “AMP” notation; a tribute to his late son, Andrew.

Two of the great Sprint Car racers!

Guaranteed these two are off racing in some remote corner of heaven.  J.R. and Randy Baker having a little “good humor” fun with the ice cream truck.
